Spanning a nine-day period, January 16-24, 2026, the marvelous world of jazz took over Tucson, Arizona. Begun in 2015 the Tucson Jazz Festival has presented the many flavors of jazz: standards, swing, smooth, fusion, heritage, modern, Latin, and funk.
With over 20 venues all over town featuring intimate performances as well as a couple thousand attendees in a performance hall there was something for every jazz fan be they newbies, curious or a veteran.
Speaking of veterans, ND photographer C. Elliott has attended it every year since its inception.
Elliott’s coverage highlights the most neglected branch of roots music, jazz.
