As AMERICANAFEST 2025 jets into full blast in Nashville, Tennessee, the Americana Music Association gathered its members and fans at the Ryman Auditorium last night to hand out its annual honors and awards. Hosted by John C. Reilly, who’s been called "the Bill Murray of Americana," the Americana Awards is always a great show packed with earnest acceptance speeches and memorable performances.
This year featured performances by John Fogerty, Emmylou Harris and Daniel Lanois, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Jesse Welles, I’m With Her, Margo Price, Joy Oladokun, Nathaniel Rateliff, John C. Reilly, and S.G. Goodman. There were also appearances by Brandi Carlile, Rosanne Cash, Tift Merritt, Valerie June, and more.
This year, the association spread the wealth around as no nominee took home more than one award. A full list of nominees and winners (in bold) is below. Lifetime Achievement Awards went to Joe Henry, The McCrary Sisters, Old 97’s, Darrell Scott, and Jesse Welles.
