Songwriter Sammy Brue has announced the release of The Journals, a passion project and tribute to his mentor, Justin Townes Earle. The album includes never-before-recorded songs from Earle's journals entrusted by his widow, Jenn Marie Earle. Some of the songs on the album are based on lyric sheets, others are co-writes or songs Brue wrote based on compilations of Earle's ideas.
