ALBUM REVIEW: Kim Wilson's 'Slow Burn' Honors Musical Collaborators

Kim Wilson has come a long way on his lips. With his harp and his voice, Wilson has been protecting and serving the blues community since the early seventies; he co-founded the Fabulous Thunderbirds with Jimmie Vaughan  in' 74 and still fronts the band today.

His latest, Slow Burn on M.C Records, pays homage to an elite bundle of venerable bluesmen including Howlin' Wolf, B.B King, Little Milton, Magic Sam, Sonny Boy Williamson and Robert Nighthawk. Wilson's four originals sound like they came from the belly of the same blues beasts that he's honoring.
