ALBUM REVIEW: Bear Family's Rockabilly collection ‘That'll Flat Git It Vol 50’  Exposes 1950s Rock ‘N Roll Roots

Rounding up a herd of ‘billies is a daunting task. They're an unruly bunch, rowdy and unpredictable. But with their latest release, That'll Flat Git It,Vol 50,  Bear Family Records steps up to satisfy your rockabilly cravings with a 29-song collection from the vaults of Columbia and Epic Records in the fifties.

Although it's listed as volume 50, this is actually the fifth compilation on Bear Family Records from the Columbia Records vault. Link Wray and his Wraymen set the tone with their 1959 hit “Raw-Hide,” a twangy, shimmery creation that Wray could have just as easily surfed on.
