The fine folks at the Americana Music Association have curated another stellar lineup of roots artists for the 25th annual AMERICANAFEST extravaganza in Nashville, September 9-13, 2025. As with previous years' previews, most of the more recognizable performers are not highlighted (save for a couple of notable exceptions), the focus is discovery. Similarly, panels, as tantalizing as many are, are not included in this guide, since it is mostly about the excitement of unforgettable roots music performances.
As always there are new venues along with old favorites such as Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge, which again will host numerous day and evening events all week long. Make a list of the venues and their respective addresses that you’ll most likely visit. Stay hydrated, wear comfy shoes, and, no matter how well you’ve mapped out your schedule, be open to serendipity and spontaneity. Keep a close eye on the AMERICANAFEST app as things often change at the drop of a hat.
