On her new album, Amanda Shires explores all corners of the emotional journey of ending one chapter and beginning another. Some songs on Nobody's Girl are loud — louder than she's ever been — and defiant. Others, however, show Shires' vulnerability. "Lose It For A While," one of the earliest-written songs for the record, is already confessional, but this acoustic version recorded exclusively for No Depression readers, takes on new intimacy in close-frame and black-and-white.
